In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Sriram Raghavan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Katrina Kaif discussed their upcoming movie Merry Christmas. During the interview, Kaif was asked if he was always told that he worked hard. She asked the audience if they would rather define themselves as hardworking or diligent in her response. She claimed that terms with a more “romantic” quality include lovely, lyrical, and appealing.
“I believe you have to be thankful for what you get, especially after working so hard,” she remarked. Yes, sir, I work really hard. Then she disclosed that Hrithik Roshan had informed her that she had “workers hands.”
“Hrithik informed me that after you have hard workers. I replied, “Well, I work hard and have workers hand.” I mean, I’ll take it, I don’t mind. I believe there are many benefits to working hard, following your goals, and realizing your aspirations by sheer perseverance. It’s acceptable that not everyone will be characterized as clever and genius. I’m doing fine.”

Katrina related a fascinating story about her Merry Christmas co-star Vijay Sethupathi during the talk. “I have to tell you something, you probably don’t know, but there are a lot of people here,” she continued. Vijay Sir is really intelligent and philosophical. He doesn’t engage in much discourse, at least not on the film.
“I came to know later that Sriram sir had possibly told people that they shouldn’t talk too much to me on set,” she said, revealing what Varun Dhawan had told her. I was told this by Varun Dhawan. What is it like to work with Sriram Sir, he wanted to know. “He’s amazing, his world is amazing,” I thought to myself, “but nobody talks much to me on set.” I was doubting who I was. “Don’t worry, he’s told everyone not to talk to you,” he continued. I’m not sure if it is accurate.
In response, Vijay referred to her as a “big star” and explained that he had avoided talking to her because he was nervous about talking to someone fresh in the profession.
Regarding a Happy Christmas
Merry Christmas was written by Pooja Ladha Surti, Arijit Biswas, Anukriti Pandey, and director Sriram Raghavan. In addition to Radhika Apte and Ashwini Kalsekar, the film’s main cast members are Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi. The film has been shot in both Tamil and Hindi, hence different actors have portrayed distinct roles in the two versions. In the Tamil version, Radhika Sarathkumar and Gayathrie appear, while Sanjay Kapoor and Vinay Pathak appear in the Hindi version.
This is the first time Sriram, Vijay, and Katrina have worked together. Originally, Merry Christmas was scheduled for publication in December of this year. The new date for its theatrical debut is January 12, 2024.
