America Ferrera steps out in a silver sequin gown with pearls.

Today in Beverly Hills, the Real-World Barbie stepped out on the red carpet for the 24th annual Golden Globes.

America Ferrera graced the red carpet at the award ceremony hosted by the Beverly Hilton in a custom-made Dolce and Gabbana dress. Featuring a silver sequin bodice with dangly pearls scattered throughout, the gown was accessorised with silver shoulder straps that were also adorned with white round pearls.

The Ugly Betty actress accessorised her gown with matching silver D&G heels, a two-string white diamond necklace, and drop Harry Winston diamond earrings. Karla Welch styled the look.

The actor added a touch of mar0on to her eyes, black liner to her lips, and curled her hair at the ends for a touch of glam.

Barbie has been nominated for nine Golden Globes today, including: Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy; Best Performance – Actress in a Musical or Comedy Role; Best Performance – Supporting Role; and, Best Original Song – Motion Picture. She has been nominated three times in the latter category, for her performance in “Dance the night,” Ryan Gosling’s “I’m Just Ken,” and her performance in “What was I Made For?”

Among other milestones this year, it became the highest-grossing live-action film directed by a woman in the world and Warner Bros.’s highest-grossing global release.

Since Barbie came out, the actress has been praised for her portrayal of Gloria, particularly for her monologue in which she talks about the “unbelievably challenging life experience” of being a woman, but the actress did not get an individual nomination today.
