Experience the Future of Home Entertainment with LG’s CineBeam Qube 4K Projector

I can’t think of too many projectors I’ve been impressed with, but I’d like to think that LG’s latest will add to that list. The company today announced its new Qube CineBeam projector ahead of CES, and while there’s no price or release date yet, here’s what we know so far.

The  list of specifications is as follows: Resolution is 4K (UHD) 3840 x 2160, Brightness 500 ANSI Lumens, Contrast ratio  450,000:1, Size 135 x 135 x 80mm, Weight 1.49kg (Approx). three pounds),  screen sizes vary between 50 and 120 inches, HDR10, 3W mono speaker, webOS 6.0 and HDMI input support  with eARC/USB-C.

The first thing that strikes me is that the Qube has a 4K resolution with a contrast ratio of 1:1. It’s clear that LG isn’t trying to outcompete the portable projectors available for $500 on Amazon. In fact, I think the Qube might actually be a good choice for small to medium-sized living rooms. The Qube has a surprisingly flexible screen size (50 to 120 inches), and according to LG, it covers 154 percent of the color gamut.

Unlike the standard projector, which is covered in a shiny white casing that is often dropped on the floor and forgotten about, the Qube sits on shelves, drawsers and other furniture to create a bespoke look. It has a vintage film camera look (or for something more contemporary, a bookcase speaker). It also has a 360-degree carrying handle that makes it easy to carry the relatively light projector from one room to another, the backyard or on vacation.

The LG CineBama Qube is an all-in-one lifestyle projector that’s perfect for any space, no matter how big or small. It has all the features that consumers want when selecting a projection solution, according to YS Lee (VP, IT Business Unit), VP of Business Solutions Company of LG Electronics.

The Qube is powered by LG’s webOS 6,0 software, which means you’ll get all the smart TV features you’ll find on the company’s OLED and QNED displays, as well as voice commands for Google and Amazon Alexa, as well as streaming services.
